DAY whatever -- almost a year

What the country collectively thought might be a month or two is approaching a year. What a year.

There are times that I've thought I was losing my mind, but it a collective manner, like how else could I feel? How could we not feel this way at various points throughout the year?

We're in a pandemic, everyone has a mask on. It's fucking scary just going to the grocery story.

Our country's political landscape is a scorched Earth reality. Half of U.S. citizens would rather forego democracy just so they have can have a racist dictator running/ruining the country.

Half of U.S. citizens don't believe in facts or fair elections, only when their candidate is elected. They also think that citizens storming the U.S. Capitol is a proper response to not getting their way in the election.

The entire incident has been downplayed like some it was a group of rowdy playground kids who tore  equipment apart. I shutter to think what would have happened if they'd been smarter and more organized.

Meanwhile, a nine-year-old Black girl from Rochester was pepper sprayed in the face for having an emotional outburst the first week of February. We're living in two Americas right now and they're both completely rotten.
